First day in the studio (and Russell's birthday)

Tris Cotterill | 17:22 UK time, Thursday, 25 March 2010

Ok everyone, only a few hours until show number one of series two! We recorded the show on Tuesday night and it went really well so we are all pretty excited. We will be on Twitter (@bbcgoodnews) throughout the show so remember to let us know what you think.

Tuesday night was a doubly special show because it was a certain Mr Howard's birthday (thanks for all your messages by the way).

Aww...Russell looked really shy in that video. It would of been nice to have seen a bit more of what happened in the studio. Looking forward to tonight's episode.
Oh and i have a question for Russ:
What's the most romantic thing you have ever done for girl that you liked?

    Happy Birthday Russell!

Thank goodness this show is back... without mock the week and 8 out of 10 cats I was completelystarved of news for a while there, with my only source of information being the now show.

Admittedly I could probably try and stomach the actual news.

    Great show!

*sniggers* The contestants are either very polite, or this is the first time they've left their parents house.

And a belated Happy Birthday to Russell :) hope you had a good one! x

Hi Russell, been a fan of you for a while through mock the week and your stand up. However I felt after watching this programme that I could see alot of your jokes coming (for example..no one knows nick clegg, cameron is posh and gordon brown cant smile), whereas in the past your spontaneous nature and wit was what was so great about your performances. I hope during the long winded election process other comedians wont say the same jokes that are always made.

All the best and happy birthday!

Great show, if you can find it, there is a great bit on a channel 4 news clip from two weeks ago about a west country soldier in Afghanstan where he is shot in the head (on his helmet), his sargents comment of " Oh don't panick he is still firing" is priceless.
