Alan's first guest: Gina Langland
Gina Langland, American Singing Star, found time just before her concert at Earls Court to pop in and visit the show. To show his gratitude, Alan brought on the giant prop that is Alan’s Big Pocket. Inside was a gift for Gina, two Victorian Dogs. Unfortunately Gina had mention she collected Victorian Dolls and it had been misheard. Never mind, Alan saved face with a raunchy Abba medley.
Lawrence Knowles
Lawrence Knowles, sleezy Fleet Street reporter, was on next. In a new feature of the show called 'Eat Your Own Medicine' Alan did some sleezy reporting of his on Knowles. Alan’s big pocket came back on and dermatologist Clive Sealy came out of it. He described Knowles’ very hairy back and how he had been teased with names like Wolfman, Monkeyboy, Godzilla, King Kong, Gus the Gorilla, kiwi fruit, moth banquet, Billy furry, hairy Krishna and furball xl5.
Alan then reunited the 1936 Berlin Olympics women’s hurdles relay team.
This was a great example of the power of television. The golden girls even got to relive the race on a 1:6 scale replica model of the Berlin Olympic stadium.
Alan's final guests: Raunchy dance act Hot Pants
Europe's hottest dance act, Hot Pants, were on last. They weren't exactly what Alan had been expecting as this picture cleary shows and the final jacuzzi moment was somewhat of an anticlimax.
