The latest famous name to grace Ed George's afternoon show on 大象传媒 Radio Derby is one of the most infamous political figures of the past 30 years.

As an MP, London Mayoral candidate, best-selling novellist and high profile prisoner, the 68-year-old has never been far from the headlines.

He talked to Ed George to promote his new book 'A Prisoner of Birth', partly based on characters he encoutered whilst locked away in Belmarsh Prison in London.

He also reveals that now the main part of his life is spent writing in isolation, he sometimes misses the cut-and-thrust of political life.
