The
works of Sarita Lavender, Debbie
Folley and Danuta Orme
will be on display at the Bromsgrove based gallery from September
14th – 4th October 2003.
Sarita
Lavender from Worcester, produces a stunning range of one off Kiln
worked fused glass panels, items on display include wall mounted,
suspended and freestanding.
Sarita
and her work are well established in the Cotswolds where many of
her commissioned pieces can be found gracing the walls of homes
and galleries Debbie Folley from Upton Warren, near Bromsgrove produces
breathtaking textile art using richly harmonious coloured dyes,
threads, sequins, feathers and even shells.
The
works on display include framed wall art along with suspended and
freestanding pieces mounted in clear Perspex.
Danuta
Orme, from Bromsgrove produces unique textile pieces produced from
the finest silks and iridescent threads with their final form coated
in clear resin.
Karen
Tait owner of the Bohemia gallery expressed her excitement at the
exhibitions "The work of Sarita, Debbie and Danuta has really
taken us all aback, each in its own rights is magical.
"To
have artists and craftspeople of this standard, each demonstrating
awe inspiring creativity on our doorstep in Bromsgrove is both fantastic
for the local area and an unexpected bonus for Bohemia".
Sarita
Lavender will be at the Worcester Road gallery on Saturday 27th
September, between 12.00am and 3.00pm for a special ‘meet the artist’
event, with complimentary wine and refreshments.
