My name is Frank Reeve, I was born on 13.10.1920. I was a VR (voluteer reserve) in the Royal Air Force in the last war and served on both Ground Staff and Air-crew on 5Group of Bomber Command. I was inducted at Cardington on 16.4.1940; then to Morecambe for basic training; after which I served at many units, all of which I have listed for the pleasure of interested friends. Each and every one has its own, and sometimes unbeilveable story to tell.

All the above dates and places are as true as my memory can recall. With my stories near completion I would like to retain my "Call Sign" of "Grateful" which is what I truly am for the chance to tell the true story to todays young folk. How many of which will believe that 63 yrs ago all that we had was a brush-stale with a 8inch nail in and a bag of air-gun pellets to guard against being invaded.????
