My Brother served with the 7th He was killed at Coriano Ridge. Pte LT. Dandridge. I was unaware that he was in Italy. I was first made aware when a letter I had sent to him was returned with a large rubber stamp (deceased) no more.
I obtained further details, and got permission to go to the spot where he and several others were lying.
I was on detatchment at the time from 107 special wireless operators section we had traversed much of Italy from Taranto to Venice. I am going to visit the war cemetery at Coriano at the end of this month. The cemetery is set in a lovely valley and receives first class attention.
I travelled from Ancona taking in Cesena, Rimini, Ravenna,last year and recognised only those names.So much has changed of course.
