Bridport is a small town nestled amongst the hills of West Dorset, which became one of the most important towns in the realm. It is a town with many stories, both glorious and infamous, celebrated and neglected, rich and poor.
The Bridport Museum aims to develop its services and activities to continue to engage with the local community, as well as inform the many visitors to the area throughout the year about the town's rich history.
We have undertaken activites in local Residential Homes to gather the War experiences of residents. In addition, we are planning to hold a number of open days where members of the community are invited to share their WW2 stories.
