No offence intended (Portuguese/English/German)

In Portuguese faca means 'knife' but in English the sound of this word is not very pleasant! The Germans are also displeased with the Portuguese word fiquem, which is used to ask a group of people to stay. In German it sounds very similar to a word that means 'having it off'.

Of course not, the English word "Corner" when said to Portuguese people who don't speak English, sounds like a feminine body part. In a very vulgar way.
