Un garçon et une fille

Alpes-Maritimes, 4th of December

I have to take things a bit more easily as I am now 16 weeks pregnant. Last week when I had my monthly check up, ±ô'鳦³ó´Ç²µ°ù²¹±è³ó¾±±ð, the scan, revealed that we are expecting un garçon et une fille, a boy and a girl. Now we are busy choosing names, although I did mention to the doctor that le nom, the name, 'Johnny' was pretty high on the list that week!

A major decision

The other major news (we don't do things by half) is that we have decided to return to Britain after les jumeaux, the twins, are born. We love living here and would not dream of going anywhere was it not for our sudden change in circumstances. But we feel that I will need a lot of support from notre famille et nos amis, our family and friends. Ashley tends to travel with work, and I do not want to be alone. There are no facilities, such as anti-natal or mother and baby groups here in our valley, so I would be alone most of the time. It has been a very hard decision. We put the house on the market last week, and we intend to move next July, after the birth and a bit of recuperation. I wonder how stressful it will be selling in France?

Trees

mountain viewA friend of ours popped over the other day dressed as Bob the Builder, to help us start to cut down some of our dead trees. We have offered these trees to nos voisins et amis, our neighbours and friends, as we have so much wood lying around it is a shame to make people go out and buy their own. Now the house is finished, we want to finally clear the garden, and get it in good condition ready for next spring, but until this rain ceases we are staying in and dressing the Christmas tree!We already have some snow high in the mountains surrounding our valley, which looks glorious from our windows. Ashley took our dog Akila for a walk in the snow up at the local ski resort. The resort will open just before Christmas, but already there is enough snow on the ground to cover the knees!
