"Well yes you keep your foot hard down you see, all the time and off the end of the straights and you go up onto the banking and keeping your foot hard down. You have to get your position right otherwise you're in trouble. Right, when I say that it's for the weight and speed of the car otherwise the car would skid and get out of control and it wouldn't be very nice on the banking, but we all knew how to do that!
"They also had a smaller circuit which was part of the main circuit where there was banking. There was a hill in the middle of the circuit and they called it the mountain and they had a smaller circuit round that. In fact I liked that best of all because it was very demanding. Working like mad - but it was great fun!"
