Jodhi May has been acting since she was 12 and was an immediate sensation in her debut role, A World Apart.
听
A coming-of-agemovie set in Sixties and Seventies South Africa, Jodhi won the Most Promising Newcomer award at the Evening Standard British Film Awards, and was named Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival.
听
She went on to appear in Michael Mann's The Last of the Mohicans, with Daniel Day Lewis, before taking a break to study English at Oxford University.
听
Since then, she has built up an impressive body of work in TV and film, including Stephen Poliakoff's Friends and Crocodiles, with Damian Lewis and Robert Lindsay; Tipping the Velvet, alongside Keeley Hawes and Rachael Stirling; and Peter Kosminsky's Warriors.
听
Jodhi also appeared in costume dramas The Other Boleyn Girl, opposite her Mrs Pritchard co-star Steven Mackintosh; Daniel Deronda; The Mayor of Casterbridge; and The Turn of the Screw.

She has continued to work on the big screen in The House of Mirth, with an all-star cast including Gillian Anderson, Dan Akroyd and Eric Stoltz; and The Dish, with Sam Neill.

Jodhi was also the voice of Pearl in Demi Moore's The Scarlett Letter.
