Blue Peter is back! Barney Harwood and Helen Skelton kick off this brand new series by arriving at their snazzy new Salford Quays studio in style.

Jam-packed with Blue Peter's usual mix of entertainment, news and fascinating facts, the new series is full of surprises, starting with the team unveiling their new-look studio.

This week, Barney is joined by special guest reporter Pollyanna Woodward to find out how smart phone apps are being used to beat bullying.

The team also launch this year's Blue Peter Appeal, which encourages people to put on their aprons and get baking to raise funds for ´óÏó´«Ã½ Children In Need. They're helped along by some surprising chefs – Liverpool footballers Andy Caroll and Charlie Adam – under the watchful eye of Masterchef judge John Torode.

Syed is determined to get the truth from his mother and, in desperation, seeks out his father for help, in tonight's visit to Albert Square. He is shocked when he learns what his father has done.

Ben gets close to Duncan but, just when they think they are alone, Patrick sees them. Worried that Patrick will tell his dad what he witnessed; Ben makes it clear to Patrick that he has to keep his secret.

Sandhurst's core aim is to train soldiers to win at war and the second episode in this series examines the psychology and impact of war, launching the Officer Cadets into the harsh realities of battle and what will be expected of them as leaders of men and young platoon commanders.

In their training, the Officer Cadets are faced with the reality of the job that they are being trained to do; the physical and psychological demands and the moral conflicts it raises. When they leave after a year's training, they will go on to serve as officers in Afghanistan and other future wars fought by the British Army. To ensure they are mentally and physically trained, the course encourages them to contemplate the uncomfortable facts of conflict and the requirement to kill the enemy.

Few of the cadets have ever experienced war, let alone battle stress or shell shock. Can the cadets really understand how the stresses of war, killing and dying, will affect them, their men and their judgment when making decisions?

Bob The Builder returns in brand new series of Ready, Steady Build.

The team are building a new workshop for Bob on Monday, and Dizzy decides to show him how useful she is by being the fastest machine on the job.

On Tuesday, seeing how happy Bob and Wendy are when he finds their lost property at the yard, Roley wants to discover more lost things. But the team have a big job today, building Travis a surprise garage.

Bob, Wendy and the machines are at Farmer Pickles's Farm on Wednesday, ready to build Spud's new room.

On Thursday Spud is playing a giant in a play at Fixham Theatre. Dizzy wishes she could be in a play like Spud, and decides to help him practise. But she hasn't been paying attention and accidentally borrows the important pieces of set.

The team are building a jungle-themed mini-golf course on Friday – much to Mr Bentley's delight. He practises his game, but keeps losing all his golf balls!

As some wild animal decorations arrive, Bob explains to Roley that wild animals are those that live away from people with their friends. But when a wild fox turns up Roley decides to be its new friend.

The Adventures Of Abney And Teal is a funny and timeless 2D and 3D animation made entirely from hand-drawn and painted elements, with a contemporary yet handcrafted feel. It retains the style of the artist, Joel Stewart's original work, and is produced by award-winning Ragdoll Productions.

Abney and Teal are two friends who live on an island in the middle of a lake, in the middle of a park, in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the big city. They share their island home with a group of friendly and hilarious characters, and together they are always ready for adventure.

On Monday, Abney and Teal make lots of porridge to warm them up on a cold and gloomy day. They make so much that they decide to have a porridge party. Teal can't sleep on Tuesday and spots a beautiful shooting star. She wakes up Abney and the Poc-Pocs to help her catch one for herself.

Wednesday finds Abney and Teal worrying because the Poc-Pocs aren't poc-ing; they aren't interested in porridge or games so Teal decides that they need a holiday. There's a wild storm on the island on Thursday but as Abney and Teal shelter they realise that two of the Poc-Pocs are missing. Can Abney and Teal save them? And on Friday, Teal has found an old tyre to do tricks with but when the tyre gets stuck around Bop's tummy, the other friends must help him.
