The Hairy Bikers, Dave Myers and Simon King, are riding to the rescue of one of our great national culinary treasures – meals on wheels.
In tonight's episode the bikers look at the gap in provisions of hot meals on wheels services. They are in Slaithwaite, Yorkshire, to help a group of inspirational business women set up a hot meals on wheels service from scratch in their local area.
Brimming with enthusiasm, the women attempt a trial run by cooking and delivering a hot two-course meal to the monks at the local monastery. However, things don't run as smoothly as hoped and it becomes apparent that it's going to take more than just enthusiasm to get them up and running.
Undeterred, the bikers get the community involved with a recipe competition and the bikers do their bit by baring almost all for a naked T-shirt.
With the community behind them, will the ladies succeed in kick-starting a new meals on wheels service in their local town?
