Thursday 29 September
9.00-10.00pm ´óÏó´«Ã½ THREE

Darren and Andrew have now graduated as infantry soldiers and are getting ready to join their new battalion. Based on the Welsh border, First Battalion the Rifles will be deploying to Afghanistan in six months and, as the new boys on base, Darren and Andrew quickly start to realise how difficult its going to be – not only are they putting their lives at risk, but they are also going to be fighting in 50-degree heat, in one of the most inhospitable places on the planet.

Their company Commander, Major Carl Boswell (otherwise known as Chuckles) is in charge of preparing them for the challenges they'll face, especially the deadly threat of IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices).

As the deployment date gets closer the stark reality of deploying to such a dangerous war zone starts to hit home for all the soldiers and their families.

Deadly 360 Sharks And Rays Ep 3/13

Thursday 29 September
Time to be confirmed C´óÏó´«Ã½

Steve Backshall heads into his Deadly HQ for another adrenaline-filled forensic investigation into the lives of some of the greatest predators on the planet and their prey.

Using touch-screen style interactions and a variety of forensic techniques that wouldn't be out of place in a sci-fi film, Steve breaks down all the action as the epic battles for survival unfold.

This week, the predators are all sharks or rays – a giant tiger shark tries to surprise an unsuspecting seabird, the albatross; the electrifying torpedo ray hunts for an elusive reef fish, and a brave seal goes up against the world's largest predatory shark, the great white.

Who will win the ultimate battle for survival, the predators or the prey?
