Eight celebrity romantic gestures to inspire you for Valentines Day

This week on Radio 1's , we'll be dealing with the tricky subject of romance. It's something we all struggle with and very few have ever mastered.

So if you're wondering how to celebrate Valentines Day with your partner (and if you're single, ), here's how some of our favourite celebs surprised their partners with romantic gestures.

Some more realistic for everyday couples than others, FYI.

Propose to your partner in an empty sports ground

He got down on one knee and asked Kim to marry him in San Francisco's AT&T Park with a huge message saying 'PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!' written on the stadium's screens.

With an orchestra. And all filmed for an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, of course.

Anyone can kneel down in a field, but this was a true celebrity proposal. Rumours suggest Kanye even asked to perform at the proposal.

Announce a new relationship in front of a world famous monument

Anyone can go to Paris, but only someone as famous as Perrie Edwards from would attract so much attention with just one photo of her quick getaway.

The reason everyone was so interested? She posed in front of the Eiffel Tower up at night kissing footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

She used her Instagram account to confirm their rumoured relationship and spark headlines across the UK and beyond.

Go on a huge tour with your other half

Rent an entire cinema for a private screening

We'll never know what really happened when took his then-girlfriend out on the town in LA way back in 2011, but the rumours are just too wonderful to ignore.

US gossip website claim he rented LA's Staples Center for a private screening of Titanic, with a candlelit meal for two in the cinema, for the couple after they attended a concert.

It certainly beats a hot dog at your local multiplex.

Gigi got gushy about the gift on social media, sharing a photo on Twitter with the simple message "He wins".

For Christmas 2016. Chris Pratt bought wife Anna Faris a new ring. So far, so standard.

"He's an incredibly romantic man and I'm very, very lucky," she told E!News in the US about their gifts.
