Measuring wind speed using an anemometer
On a windy day, two children use an anemometer to measure the speed of the wind in the city. They head to the hills outside the city and discover the wind is stronger there. Diagrams illustrate the movement of wind in the cities, through valleys, on hilltops and by the sea. The difference in wind speed at these locations is explained.
