From the outside, full-time working mum of three Faith looks like she has it all. But the truth is that Faith often feels as though she is on a cliff edge. Appointments just about remembered, pay day coming just in time. Work, home, school run, packed lunch, night out with the girls (always the first to buy the chardonnay), bed, repeat. Not that she would change it for the world, but for her the concept of ‘me time’ is long gone.
Faith loves the fast-paced excitement of the ED. She’s put in the time to train as a nurse and work her way up through the ranks, becoming Advanced Clinical Practitioner. If only she could let some of her stitches come loose and let herself enjoy more of life, instead of worrying about her patients, children, friends, her need for order- she would be a lot more at peace. Faith needs to learn to pour that indulgent bath more often and relinquish her sense of duty and responsibility towards everyone else. By being more selfish, she might just be able to hold herself together more easily.
