Enterprising Fetlar

It looks like we will be able to go on a school trip outwith Shetland in 2008.
So far our various Enterprises have raised the grand total of 拢880 since August. Thanks to everyone who has supported us.

You can still order though, through the school website.

The Postman Always Delivers

We've just received an order for our last two calendars from Flying Cat. Obviously he or she is a cat with taste. But, we can't post them because we don't have a return address. Please Flying Cat, email the address to us at fetlar@shetland.gov.uk or Santa may not deliver in time. Thanks!!

Must go - the spoons are massing for the final scene of our Xmas Play.

Christmas Spoons

Our Christmas extravaganza is almost filmed. These are the Three Kings voiced by the pupils.

The Three Spoons

We used our digital sound recorder to capture lots of Fetlar Residents on file before editting them together to make the scenes. We've got crofters, ferry men, museum staff, a kirk elder, a teacher, a cook and a shop keeper amongst many others.

There's been a lot of ICT in this topic: Sound Editting, Recording and Filming. There has also been a lot of Drama, Art, Language, Maths and RME during the course of our filming.
Sound recording in progress

The resulting film looks good. We're hoping to have either a sound file or a short video clip on the school website before Christmas.

Our film premieres at the school on Tuesday 18th December at 8pm. It'll be on disc shortly afterwards.
