"just relieved that mum & lamb are both fine & bonding". Such female chauvinism! How is the Dad doing? That is what I (not to mention Barney from Switchhod, and Fred from the Kirk's vicinity, etc etc) am wondering.

IB is full of the joys of spring and animals and humans alike are taking advantage of the times to bring forth and multiply, the duck according tot he duck kind and the lion according to the lion kind. Only Suzie the sow is being a bit bolshie.... obviously an independant female. Churchil said that cats despise humans, dogs worship them and pigs treat them asa equals. Poor pigs, not so smart after all.

Mjc... That would depend on just which dad you were pondering about... Daddy sheep.... Alas last year was his last turn at a few romatic romps with his ewes, his teeth falling out gave his age away.. Daddy pig -- Otherwise known as Doodles.. Is as any expectant father would be... Utterly full of himself & wondering when his next meal will be. I'm sure he knows why his Suzie has been taken away from him (only in the sense that they still have adjoining grazing but separate houses, he's been larking about a lot more than usual but is still his usual laid back *ooow yeah scratch me there !* self.
