Ben Raine followed up his unbeaten century for Durham with two wickets to cement their grip on the game against Worcestershire.

Raine removed Jake Libby and Azhar Ali to leave Worcestershire in trouble at 140-3, replying to the home side's mammoth total of 642-7 declared.

Eddie Byrom (105 not out) and Colin Ingram (145no) both hit unbeaten centuries for Glamorgan, who reached stumps at 258-1 in their first innings, trailing Sussex by 118.

The game at Chesterfield is intriguingly poised, with Mark Stoneman's unbeaten 60 steering Middlesex to 95-3 - a lead of 117 - in their second innings against Derbyshire.

Nottinghamshire batter Joe Clarke missed out on a century at Leicester, with Callum Parkinson having him caught at slip for 89 late in the day as the visitors closed on 373-5 in reply to the Leicestershire total of 440.

  5. Stumps at Southamptonpublished at 18:39 British Summer Time 13 June 2022

    Hants 225-4 v Yorkshire 428

That's the close at The Ageas Bowl.

Liam Dawson and Ben Brown have fought for the hosts with a fifth-wicket partnership of 114.

A frustrating final session for Yorkshire.

  6. 50 runs

for Brownpublished at 18:36 British Summer Time 13 June 2022

    Hants 223-4 v Yorkshire 428

Ben Brown goes to his half-century in the penultimate over of the day.

His stand with Liam Dawson is now worth 112. Hampshire are right back in the game at The Ageas Bowl.

  7. Stumps at Canterburypublished at 18:35 British Summer Time 13 June 2022

    Kent 232-3 v Gloucs 438

Jack Leaning and Jordan Cox have successfully batted out the closing overs to ensure Kent close with seven wickets intact, replying to Gloucestershire's total of 438.

Daniel Bell-Drummond (88) and Ben Compton (80) shared a second-wicket stand of 155, but both missed out on hundreds and this basement battle has now settled into an attritional phase.

It's hard to see how Kent, still trailing by 206, can conjure up a win but they look well-placed to thwart Gloucestershire's own victory hopes.

  8. Stumps at Edgbastonpublished at 18:25 British Summer Time 13 June 2022

    Warwickshire 292 v Lancashire 280-9

Will Williams and Matt Parkinson see out the last few overs and that's stumps on day two.

Neither side has been able to take control of things so a big day three coming up.

  9. Close of play at Tauntonpublished at 18:20 British Summer Time 13 June 2022

    Somerset 180 v Surrey 382-7

A good day for Surrey, who have opened up a significant lead of 202 runs over Somerset and could increase it further in the morning.

Rory Burns led the way with 113, supported by Will Jacks (88) and Jordan Clark, who remains at the wicket on 63 not out.

Peter Siddle and Marchant de Lange picked up two wickets apiece for Somerset, who have used eight bowlers after Craig Overton and Josh Davey were both withdrawn under concussion protocols.

    Hants 201-4 v Yorkshire 428

200 up for Hampshire and a first batting bonus point. This has been a great rally by Liam Dawson and Ben Brown.

Yorkshire have been frustrated since that wicket of Nick Gubbins straight after tea.

    Croft c Yates b Brookes 90 (Warwickshire 292 v Lancs 270-9)

    Overton c Davies b Abell 20 (Somerset 180 v Surrey 376-7)

Jamie Overton's cameo of 20 is at an end and he flings his bat to the ground in annoyance on the way back to the dressing room.

Somerset skipper Tom Abell - who was dismissed by Overton on day one - takes revenge against his former team-mate, persuading him to nibble one to the keeper.

Gus Atkinson is at the crease now, with just three overs remaining today.

    Hants 188-4 v Yorkshire 428

Boundaries are flowing late in the day for Hampshire and a couple off Dominic Drakes brings up Liam Dawson's half-century.

It's been a fine recovery from 111-4 by Hants.

    Ben DuckettImage source, Rex Features

Ben Duckett is out for a magnificent 145 off 153 balls with Notts now on 315-4. They still trail Leicestershire by 125.

Eddie Byrom has scored his first century for Glamorgan who are rocketing along at Sussex. They're 256-1 with Colin Ingram unbeaten on 143. The second-wicket stand is worth 251.

Mark Stoneman has hit a half-century for Middlesex who are 86-2 in their second innings and leading Derbyshire by 108.

They're still of for bad light at Durham with Worcestershire on 102-2.

    Somerset 180 v Surrey 356-6

Jordan Clark has just passed 50 for the first time this season and it's well deserved - the all-rounder's positive approach has kept Surrey very much on the front foot this evening.

Clark's half-century comes from 69 balls, including four fours and two sixes.

    Bailey b Norwell 3 (Warwickshire 292 v Lancashire 263-8)

    Fourth wicket for Liam Norwell!

The big Bears paceman gets one through Tom Bailey who's on his way cheaply.

Warwickshire might sneak a first-innings lead now.

    Hants 167-4 v Yorkshire 428

Liam Dawson and Ben Brown have just brought up their fifty stand at The Ageas Bowl. It's been a vital one.

They'll be desperate to see it through to stumps. There are still the best part of 13 overs to go.

  18. wicket

    Compton c Phillips b Gohar 80 (Kent 199-3 v Gloucestershire 438)

And there we are - the wicket Gloucestershire wanted above all others!

Ben Compton, the man county bowlers have found virtually impossible to shift all summer, is on his way for 80, reverse-sweeping Zafar Gohar into the hands of slip.

Jordan Cox has come in to join Jack Leaning and suddenly Kent are looking a little more vulnerable.

    Durham 642-7 dec v Worcestershire 102-2

    Martin Emmerson
    ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Newcastle

Worcestershire have reached a mini milestone as they look to chip away at Durham's hefty total of 642-7 declared.

Jack Haynes has 25 and Azhar Ali 33. Their partnership is worth 43 runs. They put on 195 against Durham at New Road in May.

The Pears got off to the worst of starts though when they lost their debutant opener Taylor Cornall for a second ball duck. He lost his off stump to a Chris Rushworth ball which brought the bowler his 801st wicket in all formats.

Jake Libby was then caught on 28 in the slips off the bowling of Ben Raine by Scott Borthwick.

But progress has now been halted. The players left the field at 17:42 BST after the umpires decided bad light was an issue. Even with the floodlights blazing away it is murky. Low, dark clouds sit right over the ground.

There were 11 overs left in the day when they went off. Last night they went off at roughly the same time because of rain but came back on at 18:15 to complete the day.

  20. wicket

    Lamb c Yates b Norwell 18 (Warwickshire 292 v Lancashire 259-7)

    Warwickshire keep on chipping away!

Liam Norwell gets his revenge on Danny Lamb after being taken for 16 in his previous over by dismissing him.

Lamb edges and Rob Yates takes the catch at slip to give Norwell his third wicket.
