The 20th anniversary of Nelson Mandela's famous walk to freedom, which after 27 years symbolised freedom for black and non-white South Africans who had suffered under decades of apartheid.

Ahmed Kathrada was the only Indian and youngest of the ANC leaders to be jailed after being convicted in the Rivonia trial.

He shared his experience of detention on the notorious Robben Island maximum security prison with ´óÏó´«Ã½'s Peter Ndoro.
