KENT BLUE

SHANE(October Road Studios)
Scriptwriter

Where do you live/ where are you from? What's it like?

I live in glorious Kentucky, U.S.A. Born and raised. Johnny Depp was born just down the road but don't mention it to him, it's apparently a sore subject. Kentucky is just fine in the fall and quite uncomfortable in spring, summer and winter.

How old are you?

Triple X

What do you do? And is there something else you'd rather be doing?

I'm a freelance videographer/photographer for various studios in my region. I'd much rather be a famous fly fisherman.

What are your hobbies/likes/interests?

My favourite things in the world are songwriting and filmmaking. I'm also into John Stamos, Michael J. Fox, David Tennant and girls.

What's the strangest thing you do on a regular basis?

I watch reality television through binoculars and imagine I'm a voyeur.

How did you get involved in the 'online community'? Are your internet friends 'real' friends?

There was this kid on a cable news channel pretending to be Darth Maul from Star Wars. I thought I'd go tell him I wanted to be his friend but by the time I found him on YouTube he already had, like, a million friends. He didn't need me. And since I was already there, I thought I'd make friends with people a bit less famous. I honestly had nothing better to do that day. And, yes, my non-famous friends are like family to me at this point. Hello Mark, Reggie, Beccah, Sam, Dan, Paul, Heidi, Shannon, that one guy from The Baby Eaters and Bryony! And David.

What do you put on your Youtube channel (if you have one)? Why do you have a Youtube channel?

My videos examine the remarkable relationship between myself and silverback gorillas. I'm a god to these magnificent creatures. It's really quite extraordinary. My channel exists because they exist.

Is this your first film project? Would you consider yourself a professional, an amateur, a complete beginner? Rate yourself.

This is my first film project with potential for completion. I consider myself a professional, an amateur and a complete beginner, oddly enough. You didn't specify a scale for rating myself so I say infinity. I rate myself infinity out of infinity. Except on Tuesdays.

What's the best film ever made? What's the best horror film ever made, and why?

Best film ever? "Tuff Turf" starring James Spader and Robert Downey Jr.. A nearly perfect film. Best horror film? I'll probably be crucified for this but I have to say the American remake of the Japanese film "Ringu". "The Ring". Yeah, yeah, laugh it up. I could have said "The Exorcist" or "Suspiria" but we all know those didn't stand the test of time. "The Ring" is solid, start to finish. And the whole look of the film, cast in a sickly greenish hue, only adds to the already tense atmosphere. It's a shame the sequel dropped the ball. Oh, and "Pump Up The Volume". I really like "Pump Up The Volume".

What's your motivation for writing?

Nothing terribly interesting here. I just enjoy creating something from nothing. Playing God.

What's the best thing you've ever written?

Scene 1 of "Internet Zombie Movie"

What's the worst thing you've ever written?

Scene 8 of "Internet Zombie Movie". My bad.

Why are you taking part in the Internet Zombie Movie? Fame, fortune, practice, boredom?

Sheer curiosity. I want to see how far we can take it.

What one scene are you determined to include in the film?

I was keeping this to myself. But since you asked, I'm hoping to revive Old Greg's career by having him play the role of Female Pedestrian #9.
