Hey Everyone!

Chris Evans | 11:34 UK time, Monday, 31 October 2011

Hey everyone it's bleak out there today. And it was too at the weekend. But here's the thing, none of us seem to mind. It's just the way it is at the moment. And in our house, nothing a leg of lamb last night along with a fw roasties and peas and gravy couldn't sort out, you know you've eaten well when there's Cookie Dough ice cream in the fridge that remains untouched and unsullied. Obviously, there's still tonight !

Have a great Monday.

I'm outta here.

RIP SJS.

Sitting in the coffee and tea area after the show...

Chris Evans | 11:40 UK time, Friday, 28 October 2011

...Still buzzing from the energy that is Russell Grant. I've met him before loads of times, but he's different nowadays.

Not only that, but I've never actually talked to him properly before.

From a selfish point of view, I realised there's absolutely no need to fear approaching sixty. Russell arrived at that particular station earlier this year, yet looks a good decade younger.

Keep the heart young and the body will have no choice but to fall into line.

Oooh, I think I just heard the title of Monday morning's show ringing in my ears.

Peace and Love and Keep Dancing.

Thanks for listening y'all.

Chris Evans | 11:59 UK time, Thursday, 27 October 2011

No, really - thanks a lot.

Our best 2nd quarter ever - and half a million up on last year at the same time.

We are enormously grateful and humbled by this latest audience research. The team are thrilled. And the bosses are happy!

I may even celebrate with a fry up. Depends what Mrs E has in store for dinner tonight.

But then again, if I have it early enough, I could probably squeeze in all that's on offer.

Look out on tomorrow's One Show for calorific evidence of over-indulgence..

Thanks again

Happy Wednesday everyone

Chris Evans | 10:30 UK time, Wednesday, 26 October 2011

Show over for today.

I'm off for few voice over sessions in Soho.

Then gym, and then the big car auction of the year. Six hours of canny bidding and lots of coffee.

I have my eye on a couple of things but they'll probably go crazy. Which is a good thing, 'cos it means I won't be tempted to buy more tat that frankly we can't afford, have no room for, and have enough of already.

Great fun to watch though.

See you tomorrow.

Monday's show done and dusted - and off we go again with what we all know will be another week that passes like an Express train.

Hold on to your hats, it's gonna fly by - they all do nowadays. Good thing? Bad thing? Irrelevant really. It is what it is. We'd just better get on with it.

Hope you don't get rained on too much if you're around the danger areas. Keep what you can dry, and we'll see you hopefully tomorrow at 6.30 am sharp - after little Aled Jones has warmed you up for a bit.

Peace, Love and Umbrellas,

Nancy Dell'Olio...

Chris Evans | 13:12 UK time, Friday, 21 October 2011

...Update.

Gorgeous - but definitely of another world.

I'm off to The One Show to pit my scones against those of Alex Jones. And Alex has lovely scones.

Look for an extra shade of ginger tonight - Mario has been giving me the once over again.

Have lovely weekend.

And I'll see you back on the radio for some Monday morning yawns at six-thirty sharpness.

Twenty four hours...

Chris Evans | 10:45 UK time, Thursday, 20 October 2011

...to go till The Dell'Olio hits The Show.

Buckle up everyone - this is gonna be some ride.

For the first time ever, I am going to go on line to hunt out clips of Nancy on talk shows - purely to try to get a handle on how she interacts with people at length, in conversation.

I, literally, have no idea what makes her tick. I find her truly fascinating. What makes someone so, seemingly, supremely confident in their own value? I can't wait to find out.

Will we get the key of the door to Nancy's World? Tune in tomorrow to find out.

Peace and Love and hot water bottles.

Bikes in shared hallways...

Chris Evans | 10:12 UK time, Wednesday, 19 October 2011

...obviously not ideal, but where else if you don't want them to get nicked? Your own flat - sure, but think about how much of a beating the wallpaper, paint and woodwork's gonna take, with all that carting up and down every day. Wall racks? An answer, but still cluttersome. I mean that's the issue right there. It's more about the clutter aspect of the situation than anything else.

Wonder what Nancy Dell'Olio's take on this topic would be? If it's still smouldering come Friday, you can rest assured I'll be asking her about it.

In the meantime, still cannot believe JV's show declined our suggestion the of eturn of Bob A Job week as one of today's hot topics. Next time.

Peace and Love and have as good a day as you possibly can. That's what they're here for.

Attention Attention!

Chris Evans | 12:01 UK time, Tuesday, 18 October 2011

Three days and counting to Nancy Dell'Olio joining us for Breakfast on the wireless programme.

I'm excited and I'm scared. The two often come hand in hand. If she's one thing, she's an enigma. I'd love to know what she really thinks about things, when she's on her own at night, as she rests her head upon her pillow. Not that we'll find out, I'm sure. She's far too sharp a cookie for that.

We shall see.

Peace and Love.

Dead in London today...

Chris Evans | 12:23 UK time, Monday, 17 October 2011

...like a ghost town almost. Which is strange, because the surrounding motorways have been packed from the get go.

The "get go" by the way, I know is a bit of an Americanism, but I do like it as a phrase.

Anyhow, I'm outta here before it does get busy. In fact I hope to catch the traffic tide just as it's turning, wish me luck.

You have a nice day now.

See you on the radio when October 17th is no more. Let's make the most of her till then.

Peace and Love.

Well that's it . . .

Chris Evans | 16:27 UK time, Friday, 14 October 2011

We can do no more. It's up to the Dragons on the pitch now. Come victory or defeat, a band of brothers will have a story to tell tomorrow lunchtime. Will they do it? Will Wales beat Les Francais? Honestly, I think they will. Whether they can go any further, who knows? But I think we will at least be in a similarly expectant mood this time next week.

So, enjoy my friends. Enjoy. For The Land Of Our Fathers is on the march and we are right behind them every step of the way.

Peace and Love and lots of penalty and try conversions.

The joy of a cafe menu

Chris Evans | 13:33 UK time, Thursday, 13 October 2011

Posh cafe granted, but cafe nevertheless. Just look at some of the delights on offer:

Tuna Melt
Hot Dog Special
Toasted Chicken Wrap
Eggs Benedict
Home Burger
Filled Croissants

Oh my goodness, the choice is too much.

But lo what's that I spy on the glass shelf just behind the orange juicer?

A whole giant Victoria Sponge.

Run for your lives! I want it all.

See u tomorrow.

Yours Fatty Evans

We were a "little bit more" Welsh today on the show today...

Chris Evans | 11:14 UK time, Wednesday, 12 October 2011

...thanks to our Welsh Polka along with brilliant Bryn Williams and his mouthwatering Welsh goodies.

Tomorrow, we are going "even more" Welsh before we actually become totally Welsh on Friday ahead of the big Rugby World Cup semi-final weekend.

In other news, I've got a meeting with the lady who runs my pub about next summer's Children In Need event. It'll be here before we know it. Good to be busy!

From tomorrow...

Chris Evans | 09:06 UK time, Tuesday, 11 October 2011

we're becoming a little bit more Welsh on the show - in honour of Wales' magnificent march into the semi finals of The Rugby World Cup this weekend.

Come Thursday, this will have escalated to quite a bit more Welsh.

And then on Friday we will all be entirely Welsh. Even Lord/Sir Alan Sugar.

So tips please - on an advisable gradient for this slope down which we are about to slide.

Come on Wales.

Peace and Love and Lots Of Leeks (which I adore by the way)

Good Morning Britain and welcome to another day on Planet Earth.

Chris Evans | 09:17 UK time, Monday, 10 October 2011

Boy it's good to be excited about going back to work. How lucky are those of us who feel that way? And this time, for the first time as long as I can remember, it genuinely felt like we'd been away for ages. Too long methinks.

Thanks for being there today. You have no idea how much I appreciate it.

Plus, please will you consider informing the powers that be of a collective will to see the genius that is Adrian Newey knighted for his services to motorsport. No one, in the modern day era has achieved anything that comes close to what Adrian has achieved. A master of the mysterious but beguiling art of aerodynamics and mechanical engineering.

Ta.

See you tomorrow - on the radio that is.

Peace and Love
