Fulham boss angered 富勒姆教练生气了

Footballers
Will Fulham stay in the Premiership?
Chris Coleman, the manager of Fulham is unhappy about the Premiership fixture list 联赛赛程 because his team have very few matches in one month. This is because of FA Cup matches and international fixtures.

He compared the frequent games at the beginning of the season 赛季
with the long break his team will have at the end of the season, at a time when he said they will be "fighting fit" 竞技状态非常好.

Fighting fit
Towards the end of the season when the players are fighting fit, you have a two-week break and we've got just two games in a month.

Chris Coleman

This means that the players will be playing well and will be physically energetic.

The reason Coleman is annoyed is that he is keen 渴望 for Fulham to make sure they are safe in the Premiership. They are in the bottom half of the table (英超)排行榜 so they could risk relegation 降级.

Fulham’s fate
We want games thick and fast because we want to seal our fate.

Chris Coleman

So he wants the team to have lots of games quickly – he said "thick and fast" 连续不断. That way the team will soon know for sure if they are staying in the Premiership or not. He said "we want to seal our fate" 决定自己的命运, which means to do something which will decide what will happen in the future.

Fulham's position in the table is not that risky 有风险 as there are 6 other teams below them. But even so, the pressure is on 在(某某)身上的压力 them more than the teams right at the bottom.

The pressure’s on
The pressure isn't on Charlton so much as they've already been written off, as have West Ham. But the pressure is on us not to get sucked into the dogfight.

Chris Coleman

Coleman said that teams like Charlton and West Ham have "already been written off" 已经被淘汰了, meaning that they have no chance of staying in the Premiership, and everybody is expecting them to be relegated, so they have nothing to lose 再没有什么可丢的了 .

But Fulham are under pressure because they don't want to "get sucked into the dogfight" 被卷入一场混战. This means that they don’t want to be involved in the competition to see who will be relegated.
