For Sport Relief 2010 two time Olympic rowing gold medallist James Cracknell helps Liam O'Reilly with a lively pitch including an energetic dance demonstration that gets the Dragons smiling. Ìý
With the pitch over James moves downstairs and continues to watch the pitch with Evan. It's time for Liam and the Dragons get down to business.
First to step up is Duncan Bannatyne with some quick-fire finance questions. The entrepreneur starts well but soon loses his footing and is forced to admit he's not very good with figures.
This doesn't go down well with the Dragons and downstairs the Olympian has his head in his hands.
After further interrogation a nervous Liam only ends up complicating the situation and confusing the Dragons even more. Deborah Meaden knows the entertainment sector and she doesn't dance round the fact that she cannot see how his business can make a healthy profit. ÌýLiam goes head to head with the unyielding Dragon in an attempt to convince her he will start to make money. ÌýIt's a good try but she remains unconvinced.
James Caan is also confused by the pitch. Liam has only managed to convince him that this is not a business so he's out.
Downstairs, James and Evan groan with disappointment.
A frustrated Peter Jones still doesn't even know what Liam does. The entrepreneur, insulted by Peter's comments, quickly retaliates by reiterating his business model. Following a quick rundown on his business, Peter throws in his hands in the air and yells 'Hallelujah!' and Liam appears to be back on track.
In a zealous retort the sole trader admits that he's not interested in becoming a millionaire, his motivation is to do a good job. Although this is an admirable statement it is not what the Dragons what to hear.
Liam's passionate reply impresses Theo Paphitis but it has confirmed that his idea is not an investable. He's out.
Peter follows Theo. He see it more as a social enterprise not as an investment and a confused Deborah is still unable to see the business model. She's out too.
With only one Dragon left Liam tries a bit of flattery on Duncan. Unfortunately the Dragon doesn't want to dance and shows his red card.
In the end Liam won support for his concept but unfortunately it takes more than that is separate the Dragons from their cash.
