Bungay Library is in the small market town of Bungay, population 4,000, on the Suffolk side of the Norfolk/Suffolk border. We are a recording centre for the People's War. Help is available in recording stories on Fridays between 10-12am and 2-5pm and Sundays 11.30am -1.30pm. We would be grateful if customers would book in advance - 01986 892748. The library is single staffed for 50% of the time and this makes it difficult to always give help.
We have also planned two events so far. An exhibition jointly with Bungay Museum 9/7/04 until 19/7/04 and then an exhibition of WW1 paintings by David Pairpoint from 22nd July to 8th August. These paintings were done especially for the library.
