Man-overboard rescue system
Keen sailor Tanya Budd explains how, while still at school, she came up with the idea for a man-overboard system which can be operated by one person to rescue both conscious and unconscious people from the water. She also shows how, working with a sea-safety company, she adapted the design and the materials used to make it suitable for manufacture. She is now working to develop other innovative ideas while studying for an engineering degree.
