Episode 4. Thursday 15 September, 2005, 15.45-16.00
On the farm in Suffolk, Fly, the tenacious Jack Russell, pursues a young brown rat across the barn yard and into the farm garden with fatal results.
On Tyneside, the pest control officers return to the underground sewer, and deposit the deadly baits once again. Along with many of the other rats, our rat races out of the sewer in an effort to escape the exterminators.... She takes refuge in a crate, but no sooner does she bury herself amongst the straw contents than she finds herself being whisked into a van, and transported to Edinburgh!
Meanwhile in Suffolk , the farmer's grandson uses the female rat as target practice one night , .... and then later, a fire in the barn nearly proves fatal for the female brown rat.
