Fun, games and a bit of a sing-song with actress Gillian Elisa or tea, cake and a gossip with Derek Brockway and Wales Today's Sian Lloyd - these were some of the 大象传媒 events on offer for Welsh learners at the National Eisteddfod in Cardiff.

Pobol y Cwm actors also came to Maes D to face questions from learners, ranging from the stresses and strains of filming an upsetting storyline to who laughs the most on set - Nia Caron and Gareth Lewis who play Anita and Meic revealed they often got a fit of the giggles.

Dozens of learners took the opportunity to sign up for the Big Welsh Challenge mentoring scheme during the Eisteddfod, including a man from South Africa and another who's learning in Spain.

A number of Welsh speakers also put their names forward to partner learners and give them support - either face-to-face or online. We're still looking for mentors and learners across the UK - if you're interested in joining the scheme or would just like more information, please email Mentoring
