Dear Blog Friends

Yes it's Thursday once again which means it's my turn to do the daily diary. It's nothing like as juicy as Abi Titmusses secret diary that we were reading this morning on the show, but instead charts what i've been up to or plan to get up to the near past and immediate future. I've just got back from yet another trip to the dentist. It's not that there's anything wrong with my teeth, it's just that I've not been for ages and so I've been seeing the hygienist to make them nicer and healthier and all that guff. I hate going to the dentist and today had to have the whizzy driller cleaner thing that makes the horrible noise. Also because I suffer from sensitive teeth, which I think affects me more than most people, and certainly more severely than girls, I had to have injections in my mouth to numb the pain. That was more than an hour ago and it stills feels like I've got somebody else's lips. It's a very odd sensation, but at least it reduced some of the horribleness of going to the dentist and made it a slightly less agonising experience.

Tonight i've got to work on some DJ preparation for the soundclash that I'll be doing with Chris in Cornwall a week tomorrow. We're down there as part of the Boardmasters Festival in Watergate Bay which should be radical. I need to make sure my selection of hot tunes is just right so as to blow Chris out of the water with tracks that will kick him in his balls. I have the basis of my set already but just need to do some tweaking to make it the best set of anyone ever in the history of the world. I'm really looking forward to it, and think it will be mega.

I've also got some boring wedding jobs to do which Jayne has left for me. With her and Nicole being up in Manchester at Bingo Central during the week, I've been given a whole list of jobs to organise that would ordinarily be done by her. We're getting married in just over 3 weeks and I don't have anything to wear yet which is causing her mild concern. This concern then results in her nagging me and frankly I don't have the time. I've still got Top Gear to watch from last Sunday, and hot soundclash business to sort and it's going to be difficult to fit it all in.

The nice thing about doing this blog every Thursday, is that it's always nearly Friday. It's my favourite time of the week, cos you know that even though the weekend has started, you've still got Saturday and Sunday to look forward to. Amazingly it's Nicole's first birthday on Saturday. I can't believe a year has gone so quickly, but I would imagine that everyone with kids probably says that.

So a weekend of cake, silly hats, balloons and jelly awaits which should be a lot of fun.

Chris also has the gardener over this morning, Thursday is also cleaner day so Chris is hoping to avoid talking to them.

Dave is going to his sister's house to see his Neice and a cup of tea
Rachel will be going for a swim then freezing the blackberries that she picked yesterday
Carrie will be visiting the in-laws.
and Aled will be on BBLB tonight with George Lamb.

Well well... midweek has come round quickly hasn't it? Lots going on at the moment in the Byrne household - my son's just started having swimming lessons. He's doing very well. Apparently this morning his teacher told him that when he puts his head underwater he should imagine he's blowing out candles on a birthday cake. Finn thought about this for a while and said "Er....but the candles would have gone out already cos they'd be all wet". This is an indication that he may well grow up to be just as clever as his Dad!!! I'm very proud. He's five.

Chris will be back on the treadmill to do another 4 miles (after doing 4 yesterday)
Dom will be writing the OddBox (he writes it on Wednesday and records on Thursday)
Carrie will be going to see her friend and her new baby - she'll then be getting broody and freaking Tom out
Dave has a boring lunchtime meeting with his bank manager
Rach is still walking around with a pulled muscle in her leg, she failed to get a massage yesterday so will have one today
Despite Aled getting in early to defend his bad breath he'll be hanging around late because he has some late night phone calls to make. For work.

Dom will also be writing the daily blog later on

Gooood afternoon readers of the blog, I hope you're having a good day today. It's Tuesday so that means it's my turn to write the blog. There's a few things I thought I'd talk about...

1. Have you watched Dom's boring video? At the time of writing this, we're only 2,500 hits away from 300,000. I think you'll agree that's a pretty impressive figure for a video that's been up for a week. It It would make me very happy if we go over the 300,000 mark, so if you've not watched it and have a spare 9 mins and 34 seconds, then hey why not give it a whirl. If you have seen it, then send it to a friend. It's guaranteed to brighten up their Tuesday afternoon.

Dom will be looking into buying a shed roof!
Carrie will be setting up her new laptop!
Rach will be getting her legs pummeled as they hurt from running. Rach will then be going to pillates
Aled will be working on a couple of secret work projects!

It's Tuesday therefore it's Rachel Blogday today - Rach will be blogging soon!

Good Morning! Finally summer has arrived it seems. The sunshine always puts everyone in a good mood - after a wonderful weekend in the country I came back to work feeling very happy and content with the world - that was until my new nemesis Andi Peters turned up!
After the muffin-gate scandal of Friday I am definitely joining forces with Rachel on the Peters front!!!

Chris will be going furniture shopping and a run today.

Dom is going to be taking his son for a swimming lesson
Carrie is going to be on ´óÏó´«Ã½ London doing the sport (check Sky ´óÏó´«Ã½1 in London if you want to see)
Aled will be going to the gym again today as he's moaning that he feels fat.
Rachel will be having a day of excercise - Rach will be swimming and running (although not with Chris)

Carrie will be doing her first Monday Blog Day soon where I'm sure she'll talk about her pleasent experience of eating Andi Peters' muffins!

Howdy Blog fans. Chris Moyles here.

So we're a few days into this new 'blog' system and today is the day that I have to write mine. From now on every Friday will be Chris Moyles Bog day. Not the catchiest of titles but what do you expect. I am out of practice. For the past couple of years I have managed to get out of having to write a blog. Every so often I would have no choice but to sit down and write some rubbish for the website, but now, as each member of the team has been allocated with a specific day to write, there really is no getting out of it. Oh how I would enjoy sitting in our daily morning after show meeting as Aled would ask:
"Who's doing the blog today"
"CARRIE" I would say loudly.
"I did it yesterday." Screams Carrie.
"Erm Dominic then." I add.
"Hang on I did it on Monday." Would be Dom's reply.
I'd look around the room and try and find somebody, anybody other than me, who would have to write that day's blog.

But now it looks as though those days are over, and so today, Friday 25th July in the year of our Lord 2008, I find myself stood in my kitchen typing away badly on my laptop so that a handful of people can read what I have to say.

Which isn't that much as the day is only half way through really.

We did the radio show this morning, which is always fun on a Friday because we get to do The Golden Hour. Apart from making the show feel shorter than normal, I get to play lots of records that I really like, and if you're a regular listener, you'll know that doesn't happen often. After a very quick after show meeting it was a quick trip to Warner Brothers to watch a screening of the new Batman movie 'The Dark Knight' which is brilliant. It's an amazing perk of the job that we not only get to watch movies, for free, before they're released, but in our own private screening that is just for us. These kind of things really help when you're getting up at 5.20am five days a week.

Now I'm back home and writing this for you to read. Sophie is watering her plants (don't ask), then it's a quick phone call with an old mate of mine about somewhere we both used to work, and then, it's running time.

As part of my 'It's not too late to look and feel great for 2008' fitness campaign has hit a bad patch with no running from me since Sunday. So I'm off to get my ill fitting shorts on and go for a 5 mile run...Lord help me.

So have a great weekend and please join us back on air Monday morning from 6.30.
(No, really, please do join us, we can't afford to lose anymore listeners!)

Carrie will be heading Oop North where she'll be making her flapjacks for the village show
Rach will be limbering up for her good friend Lynn's arrival! (whatever that means)

Look at this... a third blog entry in one day! Don't get too excited, I don't see tomorrow being as good - I'm the one who writes the team updates after the show and I won't be in the studio tomorrow plus tomorrow is Friday Chris Blogday so lets see whether Chris ACTUALLY writes a blog entry! Seeing as we're all having a lovely private screening of Dark Knight which starts shortly after the show I'm thinking that might be enough of an excuse not to do his first. Find out here tomorrow.

Anyway, enough about me - I have some exciting news, firstly tomorrow I'm out and about on the hunt for our missing listeners - find out whether I manage it. Tomorrow is also another Golden Hour from 9... brilliant! And I have some YouTube videos for you.

Dear online community friends,

As Dominic said yesterday we've done a draw thingy involving hats and bits of paper and assigned ourselves a day each to blog. Dom got Wednesday and as you'll have already gathered i picked Thursday.

I was pleased with my choice as Thursday is a good day for me. Monday and Tuesday aren't convenient, and nobody wants to hang around on a Friday, so Wednesday or Thursday are what I was after, and bingo bango, there she blows. That sort of luck doesn't often knock on my door, so I was made up and saw it as a sign from above.

The theory behind this initiative is that we're aiming for global blog domination, and won't stop until we've battered our computer based diary competitors into submission with this access all areas tour of our high octane lives. Today i'm going to the dentist, and then plan to do some washing and stick Celebrity Masterchef on. It's been really good this series and I look forward to seeing who wins it. I'm not sure what i'm going to have for my tea yet tonight, so maybe watching the show will me some inspiration. Jayne and Nicole are up north at Bingo Central in Manchester, so I should really have a bit of a tidy up and maybe get the hoover out, although I'm not sure i can be arsed tonight. We'll see.

Anyway that's about it for today.

There'll be more interesting ramblings from tomorrow's mystery blogger, whoever that may be??

This is what the team are doing today!

Chris - is going home to have a rest , then will continue the search for his missing half a million listeners
Dom - Is recording the oddbox which will feature... yes you guessed it, mowing.
Dave - will be going to the dentist, watching Masterchef and it's his day to write a blog!
Rach - will also be looking for listeners in the East end of London, then watching Mama Mia with her friends
Carrie - is going to try and tempt listeners back by making some muffins.
Aled - will be putting a sandwich board together and heading off around the country to find our missing listeners

Hello - as you may have heard on the show this morning - we all drew straws to see who'll write the blog on which particular day of the week. It wasn't actually a straw - it was a piece of paper in a hat. We didn't have straws. All in all this is a much better system and It was decided that I will blog on Wednesdays.

I like Wednesdays for the following reasons: It falls in the middle of the week, I know the french word for it (mercredi) and I can't think of another reason but you get the drift.

I will look forward to my Wednesday task very much and hope to receive lots of comments from you about things that been mentioned in my blog. This week is a bad example as I've just banged on about the word Wednesday a fair bit.

While I'm here - you must go and watch the worlds most boring youtube video by the way. It involves lawn mowing. I know...you're very welcome. Just click and it'll magic you there.

Rach will be pulling her core at pilates with her frieds Tash, Carla and Suzie

First of all - here is Dom's boring video. I'm not being rude, it is boring and it's designed to be. If you heard this morning's show Chris decided it would be funny if we made a boring video and with the help of the show's power get loads and loads of people to view giving it huge viewing figures. This'll mean a lot of other people will see the figures and not get how it's doing so well!

Brilliant.

Hello to all you blogsters! Apparently I am using too many exclamation marks in my blogs! Well I am very sorry that this offends any of you. I am merely trying to portray excitement and enthusiam through the medium of the written word.
Just like when using capitals it means you are SHOUTING!! I blame the mardy one on Chris Moyles.net for this latest humiliation!
So this morning Chris picked up on a moan up on my overuse of exclamation marks on said website and asked me to demonstrate the face I would use if wishing to demonstrate an exclamation mark - having obliged this blog will now be filmed with me reading out and displaying the face of the exclamation mark!!! Day 3 of the "I Slept With Chris Moyles Last Night" Summer Edition t-shirt tour!

Thank you to the not-very-fat-at-all people of Bristol for a very warm welcome. Standing on Whiteladies road was surreal as it felt like every car that passed this morning was listening to the show!

I've learnt a few things from this morning's event - 1) there ARE ´óÏó´«Ã½ receptionists that stick to the "no photos" without a permit rule that the ´óÏó´«Ã½ has (can someone explain to me why it's there?) and 2) Bristol has brilliant comedy literature about itself (more details on tomorrow morning's show)

I'm currently sat in playlist (discussing Slipknot interestingly - top of MY list!) and in an hour I'm off to location number 4. Here's a little clue - it's slightly further than today's...

Listen in tomorrow morning and if you're nearby come on over! You never know, you could look as good as me! (Lollipop... really?)

Second day of the Summer Edition of the "I Slept With Chris Moyles" t-shirt tour and the week's proving to be very interesting.

Brighton - people were very quick to turn up, just as quick to leave and mostly quite attractive.

Nottingham - slower to turn but when they turned up wow was there a lot of people!!! (I'm told we caused traffic gridlock which backed up to the town centre) As for the inhabitants of Nottingham - some of the loveliest people I've ever met. Taxi drivers in Nottingham scared me a little.

I also, thanks to the team's needs, had a new experience.

Good Morning to all on the old internet superhighway! Well we're two days in to being back from holiday and I think we have all gone bonkers already!!
What with Chris's foetal position for sleep and Dave's dead arm akin to a leg of lamb!
(he really is the meat!!) Have a listen to the first link of the show at 0630 and you'll see what I mean!
Clearly we're not quite back in the swing of the early starts yet! Hopefully we will be by tomorrow or maybe its better when we're all a bit mental!

This morning was a great success at ´óÏó´«Ã½ Broadcasting House in Brighton. 30 t-shirts were snapped up by suitably attractive Brighton people.

It's all to do with Radio 1's Summer line up of events which we're going to Newquay for, but Greg is doing in Mallorca with Judge Jules this Friday!

I'm now heading off to my next location. I'd like to give you a guessing ame of where I'll be going but I'm not that clever and I'll end up giving it away - which is bad for my Health and Safety as I only have 50 t-shirts for tomorrow! Okay, okay... I will say that tomorrow... I'll be in England.... North of Brighton.

Did you miss us?

One by one I've been hearing from the team... Dave's filling in for Nihal with Chappers on the weekend, Carrie's running around, Rachel's just spent the day in the office with me reminicing about her relaxing holiday and Dom's been struggling to get his camera phone working while on holiday.

Bar going to Wakestock I didn't end up having much of a holiday in the end - I filled in for Kelly last weekend and am now going to do another one on Sunday (this week - family relationships and it's arguing).

Then after a hectic few hours I won't be doing the show from London. Want to know why?
