Would it be wrong (and is it too late?) to recommend this podcast?

The Thoroughly Good Podcast. It's been runnign since October 2005, has been the Critics Choice in the Indepdent this week and is currently covering the 大象传媒 Proms season and will have a corker of a show coming out over the next couple of days.

The third season (starting in a few weeks time) features an interview with the Director General of the 大象传媒, a feature on a local beer festival and the same broad mix of subjects which interests its Thoroughly Good host, Jon Jacob.

Shameless self-promotion? Well, you did ask. :)

I thought you would be interested in the Children's Book community building that we are doing via our podcast "Just One More Book!!".

The "Just One More Book!" podcast is a thrice-weekly audio on demand broadcast in which we discuss the children's books we love and why we love them.

Episodes range in length from 5 to 12 minutes and can be played directly from our web page or downloaded to an ipod for listening on the go. Each episode is an informal discussion of one of our family's favourite children's books. Regularly, the episodes feature interviews with authors, literacy related discussions or audio reviews submitted by our listeners.

Our audience is growing and the response from both listeners and authors has been invigorating.

You can listen to the reviews by double clicking the play buttons (">" ) on the "Listen Now" icons:

If you would like to share these conversations with others who are interested in connecting families and children with great children's books, please feel free to link to this site from yours or to pass it along!

Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks for listening,
    Andrea

Every time i hear Jerusalem i rememebr my late mother-in-law.Having watched last night of the proms in our house later that evening when back at her house she comented on a pipe my brother-in-law had fixed upon which she was deluged with a tirade of abuse from her other daughter-in-law. She tok out her hearing aids & sang Jerusalem loudly to block out the words. She was 88 very frail & died on 17th September but never lost her intelect or ability to put us less sentivive family members down when we deserved it.
I could give you a ghastly sister-in-law story for every week fo the year if you want it. You could not make them up.

MAy I suggest the Mannafest is a monthly Christian youth event held in the Ulster Hall in Belfast and it is loud! VERY LOUD!

It may not have the comedy value of some of the other Podcasts that have been featured but anything that can get teenagers to church has to be worth investigation, right?

    Love the show
