other people's blogs
i know that i should have done this weeks ago, but i have just got around to looking at some of the other blogs created by the 大象传媒's megastars and i can see where i am going wrong. what i should be doing is telling you what i can see out of the window and/or how much i had to drink last night and what i watched on television. is this really the stuff that you want to know?
in no particular order the results are
1. how your licence fee is spent
2. channel 4 and
3. not enough
i fear that none of these answers paint me in an interesting light and in fact two of them mean that i may never work at the 大象传媒 again. i believe that there is a plan to introduce random Channel 4 testing and in that case i will, unfortunately, be found to have more than is strictly allowed in my urine. grand designs is the problem. i just can't leave it alone. one programme is never enough. i've become addicted to seeing just how mad some people have become about where they live and what they want their house to say about them. it's as if they have a whole licence fee to spend on beautiful soothing marble standing redolent against the backdrop of London's West End skyline....
shall i crack on with some work?
best to i think
love and hugs as ever
Hi Fi
I'm also A Grand Designs addict, living in a posh area in my recently purchased, overvalued right to buy flat that I can barely afford. The couples featured do all decorating and designing for you so you don't have to..I feel quite exhausted by the end of each episode I couldn't stand the stress of that poor couple in France who had to wait whole 3 weeks for their cheap slate roof tiles fron China due to flooding. Getting another glass of wine from my kitchen (must strip off that wood chip) I make mental notes kidding myself that one day I might ask the caretaker about the availability of and roof space possibly to build a penthouse. Then I just can't resist switching over to have a peep at the inferior Bluepeter esque sister programme "Trade Secrets despite being always disappointed there is always something that makes me hang in, maybe I should have bought a rusty old container for 20 grand and transformed it into a luxuary bijou residence? or I maybe I could have dug a vast hole a nearby wood and build a hobbit like cave out of re cycled tyres?
Actually that programme has reassured me I'm glad I live where I do it's only a short walk to the high st and I may have enough money to buy that new "designer" dress by Madonna after all.
Complain about this postYes, I agree, this is much more like the blogs I see of everyone elses.
Just writing to wish you well - kinda lost touch after you left the afternoon slot on 5 live and Simon Mayo-Nause took over.
It's great to hear you live again, though I think your finest broadcast moment to date has to be your duet with David Croft 'Crofty' (or 'Frosty' to some AM/MW listeners) doing 'Islands in the Stream' one late night on 5 live - oh yes and that time you played Led Zeppelin's Kashmir in full on a speech network! - joyous.
Sincerely
Jordan Heal
