Harrison and family with Dr Tanya

The House of Tiny Tearaways

Family Seven: Behaviour

Ìý

Sara (32), Darren (31), Harrison (five years and three months) from Plymouth

Ìý

Harrison is very badly-behaved – he will shout, scream, slap, hit and kick if he doesn't get his own way.

Ìý

Harrison has recently started swearing and using rude words. He is violent towards his parents and his 11-year-old sister Kiera (who is not in attendance in the house.)

Ìý

Harrison has only had three full nights' sleep since he was born. He usually doesn't go to bed until 11.30pm and will only fall asleep on the sofa on Darren, before getting into his parents' bed. He never sleeps in his own bed.

Ìý

Harrison finds school very difficult – he doesn't have many friends and is isolated.

Ìý

His staple diet consists of bread and butter, five packets of chocolate buttons, a pint of milk and a fruit drink every day. He usually refuses to eat anything else.

Ìý

Parents Darren and Sara admit they 'no longer enjoy Harrison' and Sara 'dreads the moment he comes back from school.'

Ìý

Mum Sara has a very negative attitude towards him. Sara is a housewife and comes from a large family and Darren is a builder who was adopted and grew up in a small, close-knit family.

Ìý

They are hoping to improve Harrison's behaviour so they can have a happier and more relaxed family life.
