The House of Tiny Tearaways
Family Two: Tantrums
Ìý
Lee (45), Louise (27), Hannah (six), and Jess
(three years and eight months) from Rochdale
Ìý
Youngest daughter Jess throws enormous temper tantrums
day and night, and her older sister Hannah can be a "little madam" who
will do as she pleases.
Ìý
Parents Lee and Louise have major communication issues
and their relationship is at rock bottom.
Ìý
Outside of the home, Jess is extremely difficult to
manage – simple trips out such as to the supermarket or the baby clinic
have ended in tears for child and parents.
Ìý
Hannah can be "high maintenance, she often behaves like
a teenager, showing little respect for either of her parents."
Ìý
She recently told her grandfather to "f**k off, rathead"
and told Louise to "put my clothes away as you're the maid".
Ìý
Louise and Lee met ten years ago. They lived together
in South Africa before moving back to the UK, but their relationship
is now suffering badly.
Ìý
Louise worries that Lee must hate her because he always
comes home to recriminations and shouting.
Ìý
Lee admits that he dreads the weekends and can't wait
to get back to work.
Ìý
They both worry that if the problems persist, they may
break up. However, they have been through a lot together over the ten
years and really want to make things work.
