The House of Tiny Tearaways

Family Three: Eating

Ìý

Nicky (30), Paul (35) and Lewis (two years and nine months) from West Sussex

Ìý

Lewis doesn't eat complete meals and hates lumps.

Ìý

With food that Lewis will eat, he tends to be very fussy. Lewis doesn't really enjoy drinking any fluids, and his entire liquid intake is one bottle of juice per day.

Ìý

Though he is capable, Lewis refuses to feed himself and he doesn't like sitting in his high chair.

Ìý

Sleeping has recently become a big issue: he wakes five or six times a night. Some nights, Paul and Nicky will only get two to three hours' sleep.

Ìý

Nicky works in the evening as an insurance claims handler – she admits that she lavishes Lewis with too much attention during the day.

Ìý

Paul has a nine-to-five job working in customer services for a gas and electricity supplier. He wants to be more assertive with Lewis, and wishes that they hadn't been so soft with him in the first place.

Ìý

Ostensibly, Nicky and Paul seem like the perfect couple - but they are actually both very anxious and over-protective of Lewis.
