Lisa's Apple Crumble
Lisa Goodwin-Allen's recipe for a delicious, warming apple crumble. Best served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Serves 4.
INGREDIENTS
Ingredients for the crumble:
- 85g plain flour
- 60g butter
- 60g golden granulated sugar
- ¼ tsp cinnamon powder
- 50g sultanas
Ingredients for the Filling:
- 2 medium Bramley apples
- 2 medium Granny Smith apples
- 100g golden granulated sugar
METHOD
- First, make the crumble topping: Rub the flour and butter together wiht your hands until you get a sandy texture, add granulated sugar, sultanas and cinnamon and mix well.

Pre-heat the oven to 180'c.

Peel and core the apples, cut into nice size chunks (not too small).

Place the apple chunks into a pan with the sugar and cook on a medium heat for 10 minutes until the apples are soft.

Pour the stewed apples into an oven-proof dish.

Cover with the crumble on top (about 1cm thick).

Bake in the oven for 15 minutes until golden brown.
