Bunny Campione worked at Sotheby’s for 23 years until 1996, initially working in the furniture department and then the collectors’ department. She also worked as a senior consultant to Christie’s between 1997 and 2002.

Bunny specialises in automata, birdcages, costume and textiles, corkscrews, dolls, dolls’ houses, pre-Victorian miniature furniture and soft toys. She has written many articles on antiques and frequently gives talks or lectures.

The name Bunny has been with her since the age of two when her parents gave her a brown rabbit fur coat with bunny ears. When she had it on, she refused to answer to anything other than ‘Bunny’ and the name stuck.

At the Mount Stuart Roadshow in 2003, Bunny came across a rare Steiff teddy. There were a limited number of these clown bears produced in 1926 but few survived, especially in good condition. The owner was delighted to discover that this one was worth 拢20,000.
