Ewa Biegas studied at the Music State Schools in Teschen and Gliwice, graduated in singing at the Music Academy, Katowice, and from 1998-2000 studied with Professor Helen Lazarska at the Universit盲t f眉r Musik in Vienna, and graduated in 2005 with a PhD in Vocal Studies at the Katowice Academy.

She has been supported by scholarships from the Polish Ministry of Culture and Art, from the Thyll-Dur Swiss Foundation, and the Austrian government.

She has won prizes in singing competitions in Wroclaw, Salzburg, Karlovy Vary, Bydgoszcz and Warsaw.

Roles have included Lady Billows Albert Herring and Rosalind Die Fledermaus in Vienna, Friend La liberta chiama la liberta (Knapnik), Micaela Carmen, and Tatiana Eugene Onegin in Katowice, title role Halka (Moniuszko) in Cracow, Leonora Il trovatore in Cieszyn at Viva il Canto festival. Since 2004 she has performed as a soloist with Cracow Opera.

She has also performed at many concerts and recitals, and recorded Haydn, Puccini and Moniuszko, as well as songs by Boguslawski for Polish Radio.

Her hobbies include theatre, cinema and swimming.
