Born in London and brought up in Australia, Pop Prince Peter Andre is a global media star, best known for his successful music and TV career. It was during the 90’s that he ‘pop’ed onto our radars, rocketing up the charts to singing superstardom, scoring numerous number one hit singles and two number one albums. He even became the sixth highest-selling artist in the world with chart-topping pop songs including Mysterious Girl and Flava.

Throughout his music career he’s done a little dancing, but nothing quite like Strictly: “I’ve always loved to dance” says Peter, “but the styles of dancing I do is completely different to this style! To be quite honest, I’m nervous because it will be a very new experience for me!”

As well as his singing successes, Peter appeared in the third British series of which later led to him landing a documentary franchise about his life. He also presents and is the face of the Iceland adverts. Additionally, he’s the owner of a coffee chain and co-owner of a deals website. (But sadly for Peter our Judges won’t be bribed by a good deal - it’s all about the dance!)

Whilst on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Peter developed a relationship with glamour model, Jordan - also known as Katie Price - who he later married and had two children with – Junior and Princess Tiaamii. Peter and Katie’s personal life was followed throughout their marriage in a series of until after their divorce in 2009. Peter has since remarried and has had his third child, Amelia, with doctor, Emily MacDonagh.

Brought up as a Jehovah's Witnesses by Greek Cypriot parents, Peter’s own upbringing was strict but happy, and he is the youngest of six children (though sadly lost his eldest brother in 2012).

Aside from work, Peter is highly involved with charity commitments. In 2013 he launched his own charity, The Peter Andre Foundation, in conjunction with Cancer Research UK and he is also an ambassador for NSPCC, The Caudwell Children and Health Improvement Project Zanzibar.

In his spare time Peter likes to cook and hang out with his friends and family. He also has a pet pooch: a pug called Charlie, which might just score him some points with dog-lover, Craig. For Peter, appearing on Strictly is a privilege: “I’m looking forward to learning new styles of dancing and being part of a big production… it’s such an honour… I just hope that I don’t get voted off first!” Wish him luck!
