Country: Nigeria Chosen by: Ekaeka Ituem
听听Listen to an interview with Ekaeka Ituem and hear the chant.
I was born in England, brought up in Nigeria, and I'm looking forward to seeing Nigeria playing in the World Cup.
Nigerians have lots of songs!
We're singing 'Thank you Jesus, thank you my lord, thank you for letting Nigeria win the game!'.
It's really important for people because once the football starts, you won't see anyone outside. Everyone's really happy and families get together to watch the game over a few drinks. If we happen to win -God! - you'll be seeing lots of people singing and going to friends' houses to rejoice and be happy. For us Nigerians, it's vital that our squad do well because we've got a great team who can cope under pressure and we're all behind them.
Nigerians in Manchester will be going to friends and family to watch it. I don't think they'll go to the pub but we'll be singing our Nigerian songs and we'll be full of excitement.
