Common听Crane at Lakenheath听漏 Michael Scott |
A Country fit for Cranes
Michael Scott visits the RSPB鈥檚 Lakenheath Fen reserve to celebrate the return of a remarkable bird. Common Cranes are anything but common in the United Kingdom, and the arrival of a breeding pair in the fenland of East Anglia is the first breeding by these birds in the area for over 400 years.
Michael also explores about the fen itself which was a carrot field only seven years ago , and learns about the connection between the cranes and the lost world of the drained fens.
