9 overachieving young stars who are already at the top of their game
Young people today eh? They're probably smarter, more mature, more creative and more driven than most people give them credit for.
Here's nine stars under 20 who have brought their A-game to the Radio 1 studios and made us all wish we'd done more with our teenage years.
Lorde
Lorde sings about her favourite Easter egg
She really, REALLY likes cream eggs.
Lorde spoke eloquently about , plans to tour in the UK and her friendship with Haim when she dropped into the Radio 1 studios.
But she also sung a song about Easter eggs, which she nailed, of course.
Lorde turned 20 in November, by which time she was already one of the biggest pop stars on the planet.
The kids from Stranger Things
The young cast of Stranger Things have barely even started their teens and they are already super famous.
Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matazarro and Caleb McLaughlin told Nick how they were dealing with their newfound fame but nearly lost their minds when he played them .
Well you would, if you were only 14, wouldn't you?
Louisa Johnson
Oh girl, that voice!
Louisa's pop career is shaping up nicely with hit singles Tears and So Good under her belt, both of which she's performed in the Radio 1 Live Lounge.
It's been two years since Louisa won X Factor when she was just 17 years old and now she's the ripe old age of 19 (some simple maths there for you).
She's spent the years since winning the show working on her debut album, which is due later in 2017.
Maisie Williams
We loved Maisie Williams before she came to Radio 1 to chat with Grimmy, but when she revealed how she embarrassed herself in front of Bono, she became one of our favourite teens OF ALL TIME.
Maisie is now 19 and has starred in Game Of Thrones, hacking and slashing her way through her enemies, for six years. Despite all the blood and misery she's gone through on set, it hasn't affected her sense of humour one bit. She's totally hilarious -
Shawn Mendes
How were you announcing your world tour when you were just 18? Well, if you're Shawn Mendes, you're singing it to Cel Spellman on Radio 1.
He sang re-written lyrics to his hit single Stitches and nailed it - despite Cel's questionable backing vocals.
Shawn is just 18 years old but has already released two albums, both of which have hit No.1 in the US and Canada. He's doing alright for himself...
Lily Havesh
Here's something you don't hear on Radio 1 very often: Dominoes.
18 year old Lily Hevesh is one of the most popular domino YouTubers in the world and has been blowing minds online with her incredible domino creations.
Matt Edmonson is the owner of one of those blown minds, after Lily brought her skills to the Radio 1 studios in December 2016.
Zara Larsson
is one of the world's most exciting young pop stars and she's a bit of a regular in the Radio 1 Live Lounge.
She's performed her hits So Good, Ain't My Fault, Lush Life and Never Forget You during the past few years, all before her 20th birthday.
Her first global album, also titled So Good, is out now and
Elle Fanning
Elle Fanning is so cool, collected and such a star, it's hard to believe she's only 18.
However, even Hollywood stars mess up sometimes, and she told Radio 1's Dev how she messed up her invite to her senior prom after a boy went to an elaborate proposal to invite her on a date.
Billie Marten
Billie Marten is a newcomer on the UK music scene, but at just 17 years old, she's got a long time to grow into her career.
Her Piano Session for Huw Stephens is one of the most mesmerising in recent memory and she has talent way beyond her years.
