Ian Henderson, Pavenham:
'Moving beyond the Piazzola legacy (good as that is) to create a new Tango sound.'
Neal Baker:
'For the wonderful live shows (blending image, music and atmosphere) in 2002 and for bringing Tango music to the attention of a new audience.'
Roger Hunt:
'Great new sound - a must have for 2003. Just keep playing their CD.'
Jackie Parkman, Oxford:
'I think they were the most exciting world music sound of 2002. I was introduced to this by some French people who were working in Devon in the summer. Gotan Project had an instant appeal to all of my friends in Oxford who rushed out to buy this superbly produced and atmospheric sound which has brought Tango and French traditional music to the fore.'
Lucie Pemberton, Bristol:
'A really exciting band that make their performances a real event. Beautiful, funky and extremely sexy sounds.'
