Tessa is a 31-year old commercial pilot. She has a Master’s Degree in Physics with Astrophysics, and is a keen basketball player. Her ambition to be an astronaut was sparked after her dad took her to Cape Canaveral when she was a child, and bought her ‘space ice cream’. After being teased at school for saying she wanted to be an astronaut, she was determined not to be put off, and trained to be a pilot. Working as a security operative to pay for her pilot’s licence and exams, Tessa knows what hard work and determination can do. She loves her job and the unique view it gives her of the world, but now wants to see if she has what it takes to live out her childhood dreams.
