I started working on the People's War site as Assistant Producer in November 2002, about 7 months before the site launched. I helped to develop and launch the site, wrote copy, developed new sections of the site, and worked on the project to archive the site.
It was a nervous moment when we launched a completely empty website and asked the public to fill it with content. Now, almost three years later, there are tens of thousands of stories and photographs on the site. And what stories! If this is your first visit, be careful - you may still be reading at midnight.
