Puzzle No. 690 – Thursday 5 March
Happy World Book Day! Based on 2016 research, 1 in 4 children say that the book they "bought" with their 2016 World Book Day token was the first book they had of their own. If a primary school has 8 classes of 30 students and the school ratios follow the research exactly, how many of these children will have bought their first book with a World Book Day token?
Today’s #PuzzleForToday has been set by Bobby Seagull, school maths teacher, author and Cambridge University Doctorate student.
