Let x be the speed of Red. Then the speed of Black is 2x, and the speed of White is 3x. Then out of these cars, White is the fastest, Black the second fastest and Red the third fastest. But White came second, so Gold must have taken the first place since the rest of the cars are slower than White. So Gold came first, White came second, then Black and then Red.
