Today Puzzle #527
Puzzle No. 527 – Friday 19 July
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Moon landings tomorrow, a family of four are starting their school summer holidays at the Kennedy Space Centre at Cape Canaveral. They can buy a family entry ticket at $200 on the door in Florida. Or they can buy at their UK travel agent for £180 with a 10% discount for buying in advance. With the exchange rate currently at £1 buying $1.25, which deal should they go for?
Today’s #PuzzleForToday has been set by Bobby Seagull and fellow maths teacher Susan Okereke, who are both co-hosts of the Maths Appeal podcast.

The USA deal is the cheapest.
