New Bloggers

It’s great to see so many new bloggers joining us and it’s particularly pleasing to greet our new Eday bloggers Transire bene faciendo and Eday School Blog Good to see Eday being well represented at last!

However, there are still a number of islands with no bloggers! So if you’re a regular user of this site and you live on one of the islands in the list below have a think about signing up and starting your own blog.

The islands still blog-less are:

Baleshare
Benbecula
Bernera
Bressay
Egilsay
Eigg
Foula
Holy Island
Muck
Muckle Roe
North Ronaldsay
Papa Westray
Papa Stour
Rousay
Scalpay
Skerries
Trondra
Wyre

Of course, if your island is already represented you shouldn’t be put off. You’ll be made very welcome here!

Go on … we’d love to hear from you!

Species other than humans, cats and dogs are also under-represented at the moment so a blogging goat from Benbecula would be good?

Annie B from the usual

I thought there was a Hoy blogger?? I'm so glad to hear folk are signing up to blog! It's so much FUN reading all about the various lives on all of the different islands! POST PICTURES folks!! I love to oggle pictures from all over the islands!

Michelle Therese from Mainland Orkney

Yeah...the Hoy blog I know of is called, "Home on the range"

Michelle Therese from Me again!

Three new blogs since this post! That's pretty good going! Still got to hear from the blog-less islands though...

Anne from IBHQ

Am a bit confused Michelle - are you confusing Hoy and Holy Island? Hoy's not on the list...

Anne from IBHQ

i agree; wish i could start a blog

carol from france

There IS a teeny weeny difference.......probably a case of quite understandable geographical confusion on TGMITN's part. Imagine missing the Holy bit though...

Flying Cat from looking over to Hoy, the high island

Do you mean one L of a difference?

Annie B from the usual

Puzzled. Pray, Annie B., what would Benbecula represent. # Looks as if Transire etc. has in fact transited. No moss grows on that Latin scribe. Sic transit ... or so I am asked to believe.

mjc from NM,USA

Lucky I don't believe in it...

Flying Cat from imbo

Sic transit .... is that sea sickness? Or is it a Shetland Islands Council minibus?

Ruthodanort from Unst

Alright, Annie B.: you already answered my question. Perhaps you should expound on why a goat would be appropriate for Benbecula? Such a dissertation might get some reaction from the full time or summer residents of said island.

mjc from NM,USA

Why don't you believe in FC? The Holy bit? the limbo? indulgences, even plenary ones, are still available, I am told - poor ole Luther must not be sleeping too well. So limbo should hold no fear for anyone: a little advanced planning could do away with such purgatorial residence. # By the way, even with a telescope I could not find Transire on Eday (or anywhere else for that matter): perhaps Anne from IBHQ could help re:location?

mjc from NM,USA

Ruthodanort: Sic transit ... is a line of Stornoway rickshaws (or are they the ones which ply the Sumburgh-Lerwick route, with in the buff Vikings pedaling like mad - as per last year's blogging?), some of which will be impounded for use at Fank 07.
