Snow excuse...

I hope I've made the worst snow pun we're going to see.

Just been watching the weather for the weekend and it looks like the snow that fell over the last couple of weeks could be seen as a light dusting compared with what's to come.

I've put this gallery together with some of my favourite snow pictures by islandbloggers from the last flurry.

Thanks to:

ruthodanort
arnish lighthouse
aftershock

the manse cat

and everyone who blogs.

If anyone on Orkney knows any more or has their own viewpoint please comment or blog.

Golf CourseAn island golf course is set to be restored to its original 19th century lay-out designed by the man regarded as the father of golf.

The plan to return Askernish in South Uist to Old Tom Morris's design of 1892 follows a visit by experts to the Western Isles last December.
